About

Full Installation. Wagga Wagga Art Gallery,2009.

During my development as an artist over the past twenty-five years, I have come to understand my art-making process as both an exploration of medium, and as a vehicle for self-discovery.

Densely layered and visually dramatic paintings, larger-than-life drawings, and multimedia works all combine to illustrate the spirit and necessity of art making in my life.

My  studies include a Diploma of Visual Arts (Swinburne TAFE) and a Bachelor of Visual Arts ( La Trobe University), where I was included on the Dean’s Honour List in my first year there. I has also studied Transpersonal Art Therapy with Phoenix Institute (Melbourne), Diploma of Art Therapy with IKON and yoga teaching certification with in the Satyananda Yoga Tradition.

I have held many solo and group exhibitions since 2005. I have also been a finalist in many art prizes, including the Stanthorpe Art Prize, the Swan Hill Drawing and Print prize, the Clifton Art Prize and the Susan Moorhead Art Award.

“Connie’s work has an energy that is deeply apparent, with her story-telling existing in a harmonious balance between texture, form and colour.”   –  A.Locke.
